This is one of the BIG questions. I have been experimenting with different scenarios and I think it is possible.
There certainly is an incentive to invest in the German War Machine early on to face Russia. If the 2 factories are started right away you break even by the time Barbarossa starts. The trick is avoiding an above average loss of units in the conquest of France because of the shortage of units.
Well - we may have to wait until Origins to find out.
