The Naval TAC Bomber unit represents all of these aircraft (Dauntless, Devastator, Avenger, etc.). . .just like medium bombers represent all the different types of medium bombers, not just B-25s

On the same topic of naval tactical bombers I'm kind of curious about the exclusion of the Fairey Barracuda.

Should the Wellington be in the brithish bomber counter, the Blenheim was an early war light bomber.

If players would like to use different / other miniatures for variety, I think that is fine.  For the Americans, they have one naval bomber unit representing all of their different types of naval attack aircraft.  For the British, the Swordfish unit represents their naval bombers (including the barracuda).   We could introduce a late war British naval tactical bomber.  Would the values be very different from the swordfish unit?

I typically see the British put Typhoon units on their carriers late in the war.  While typhoons were not on carriers, the unit represents a good mix of air-to-air value and naval combat value (therefore representing a half group of corsairs and a half group of barracudas for example).

The challenge of introducing more units is that the spaces get increasingly crowded with many different types of unique units.

That makes sense I was just curious on where that aircraft model fit into the grand scheme of things. I agree that the typhoon and mosquito units are picking up that role now. I just noticed that on a game play balance perspective, not including a British late war naval tactical bomber highlights the different countries strengths and weakness making things more interesting. The Americans have a dedicated naval attack air unit opposed to the British with 4 units having the capability but not as effective.

I think having more land/inf units will get the spaces more crowed but air units won't create this problem, I rarely chip or place an air unit on an army marker. I think the European theatre is very well represented by the existing variety of air units, personally I would like to see a couple more Japanese air units.
