River flotillas
« on: July 10, 2015, 03:29:50 PM »
One more thing I would like to clarify is tracing supply thru lake areas when there is a flotilla unit present. Does it take a single flotilla unit for all the units in the area to stay in supply, or is there s limit on how many units will be able to trace supply thru one? I'm talking about the Leningrad area, thx in advance

It is unlimited.  River flotilas in a lake space allow Soviet units to treat it like a major river for movement and supply purposes (see 26.1.2, below).  So, if there is a river flotilla in Lake Ladoga, Soviet units in Leningrad would treat Lake Ladoga as if it were just a major river (to move over it and to trace supply over it).

26.1.2 River Flotillas allow Soviet units in the same territory with them to negate the +1 defensive bonus granted by major river effects to the defender when attacking (the river crossing attack penalty is still imposed).  Additionally, river flotillas in lake sea zones allow Soviet units to treat lakes as if they were major river territory boundaries for all movement, attack and supply purposes.  River flotillas have an intrinsic AA value of 5 like an AA gun.
