World 1941 Game!

OK - we started the 1941 world game. Allies lost both theaters! We got behind on both fronts and just couldn't get enough traction. Tough game! The horror...

Leningrad and Moscow were captured although Moscow was taken back - just too late...

The Russians got desperate and had to call in the Hordes and Dire Bear...

So I have a ton of questions, having just got a taste of the game before having to shoot off ...

1. What turn did you get to?

2. Was there ever a cross-Channel invasion into France?

3. How did you fight your way up Italy - it looked pretty tough to me.

4. How did the Kriegsmarine fare at the end?

5. Does Dire Bear get a Heavy Save?

I kinda feel like a jerk buying V weapons now, as the Axis really didn't have anything to be vengeful about. Maybe we can change them to "Victory" weapons?

1) - Spring of  1944  - we lost in Summer 1943 - but just kept playing for fun
2) - Yes - it got repulsed - it was a little on the light side - plus bad rolling. Lots of effort in the Med
3) - Sicily then followed by an Amphib into Naples to knock the Italians out
4) - 6 U boats still wreaking havoc til the end - very bad ASW rolls and not enough destoyers - they were protecting amphibs
5) - Alas - yes! - Plus it has reach, cleave and can hug, of course...

John- western allies, joe - pacific allies, nephew mike - Russia
Cape mike - axis Europe ( with Brian and British mike), Craig - Japan.
Yes - we were soundly defeated!
