I actually just print the stickers on adhesive photo paper and stick them to the painted wood disks :)

 ;)

My apologies, I should have been clearer.

I am talking about the national markings on the wings of the planes.  The paint jobs on the miniatures are gorgeous.  I am hand painting my rondels (national markings) onto the wings.  At this scale, the best I can do is a rough approximation.

Yours look perfect.  Transfers?  A shrinking machine to take the artist down to 6" tall?

Enquiring minds want to know...

Man. . .I am trying to remember, but pretty sure I got them here:

A friend of mine did all the painting and decal mounting. . .you need really good tweezers and eyes - they are tiny. . .

THE END IN EUROPE

John and I finished our epic 1939 Europe game on Sunday.  The game ended in Summer of 1945 - it does not get much closer than that. . .

Here are the pics from the last 3 turns of the game. . .

Spring 1945:

Soviets at the gates of Budapest and on the Oder. . .

Patton smashed through the Alpine Defenses and takes Bavaria. . .

In the West, the Germans still hold onto Flanders and Alsace-Lorraine. . .

End Summer of 1945

The Allies drove the Germans down to 4 VPs at the end of Summer and won the game.  Montgomery drove Kesselring out of Flanders and joined with Patton's army coming out of Bavaria for a combined assault on the Ruhr.

Zhukov took Budapest and the German regime collapsed only hanging onto Berlin and a pocket of resistance around Metz in Alsace.

Overall it was a really good game and it was a blast to play one out to the very last turn to determine a winner.

Now I need to go and plot my revenge. . .
