Game Design / miniature game pieces
« on: March 10, 2008, 09:15:11 AM »
GHQ just came out with a WWII German aircraft pack--GHQ stock# GEN19.  It consists of 4--CONDORS,  8--BV-138S,  8--DO-217S, 12--ARADOS, & 6--STUKAS.  These pieces are in 1/2400 scale.  XENO GAMES ALSO HAD A BOXED SET OF EXTRA MINIS, IT WAS OVER 200 PIECES OF VARIOUS PIECES & COUNTRIES.  NOT SURE HOW THE SCALE FROM GHQ WORKS WITH THIS GAME BUT THE XENO GAMES BOXED SET LOOK LIKE A&A SIZED PIECES.

I'LL BE TRYING TP PUT A GAME ON OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND START TRYING OUT THE RULES. THEY USUALLY MAKE MORE SENSE WHEN PLAYING A TURN RATHER THAN JUST  READING THEM PARAGRAPH AFTER PARAGRAPH.

General Discussion / CONVENTIONS
« on: November 05, 2006, 01:13:19 PM »
Which conventions are on the agenda for 2007? I have to turn in my vacation schedule in December 2006 for the 1st 4 months (JAN-APR) of 2007. This could be the format where some extra playing can be accomplished. I'm looking at  LITTLE WARS in Chicago during April, 2007. Any visitors?

Strategy Tips / logistics

This area has had and always will be the main point in any war or battle.  The side with the most bullets, the fastest resupply capability, and the ability to get reorganized quiickly will frequently be the survivor.  Your rules for being in supply and the strategic moving of materials touch this important area of war fighting. It's nice to see a few rules match what really needed to happen.

Strategy Tips / Chinese strategy
« on: July 14, 2006, 06:11:14 AM »
The best thing for the Chinese is patience with some early lend lease from US. The Chinese need just enough material available when Japan starts doing something else to step in & just be plain ANNOYING..
