What is the wood you utilize for the base of artillery and infantry. thanks

Hello- I get them at an Arts and Crafts store. They are called wooden mosaics squares and rectangles.

Those little bases are also available at some game & hobby stores plus some vendors at most conventions will have some in stock. They can be made of wood, metal, plastic, or a magnetic strip.

you can also buy styrene plastic sheets and just cut them with an exacto knife - that works as well.

Any hobby shop that sells balsa wood should work.  I am trying to think of some international chain or hobby shop that you can buy stuff off the web. . .

My suggestion would be to try a big chain store, like Michael's Crafts - I think they'd be most likely to be the most affrodable when you take into account that you wouldn't have to pay shipping as you would with an internet vendor.
