Planes & River Attacks

Hey guys,

While ground units are pretty clear

Q: Do planes suffer river Penalty when they move into the territoy from another side? 

Example 1.
Planes Support battle in Belgium by moving from Rheinland rather than moving from Holland?

Example 2.
German troops attack Belgium from Holland & Rheinland. Do planes suffer Penalty for River attacks?


Q: Does the Defender still get a defensive bonus if some attackers don't come across a river?

Ok - so if ALL units that initialize combat come across a river, the defenders get their bonus and air units receive a penalty. If even one attacking unit that is involved in the initial engagement attacks via land without crossing a river, the defender does not get the river defensive bonus and air units attack normally (but all ground units - front line and support- that cross the river still receive the attack penalty
