Title: Dice 12 for the Standard Game
Post by: Micoom on January 20, 2013, 12:28:49 AM
Has anyone a dice 12 unit value list for the standard game? I thought I read about it somewhere on this forum, but cannot find it.

Thanks!

Mark may have removed some of the early info for the game.

I do know that he had to take out all the picture files from a lot of the game reports that we did over the years because of the amount of memory it was eating up.  But posts of just game info shouldn't be gone.

Here is an early thread that gives some insight to the use of a d6 vs. d12 system for the base game:

Similar subject was being discussed at yahoo answers last week. I can post the link if needed.

I would suggest using the values for units that are in the second edition game.  It is a d12 system.  The values are

French, minors, Soviet, Italian infantry, 1942+ Germans:   2-3 (at-Def)
German, British, US, Soviet Grds, Finn infantry: 3-4
Early war armor (Brit, French, Soviet, minor): 5-4
Medium Armor (German, 42+ Soviet, US, 42+ Brit): 6-5
Heavy Armor (42+ German, Soviet grds, 45+ US) 7-7
SS panzer: 8-8
Artillery: 5-5
AT Guns: 0-5
Fortifications: 0-5

Attached is the German country chart from the second edition game - it has d12 combat values for more units listed:
