Its been a while since i have been on the boards, changed the board look.

i wont hold by breath on the conventions for mark or john :)  lol

if they can make origins, I think i will be there with reaper

Yall know my 2cents worth -- the basic rules favor the allies 90% of the time.

M7574 you can come to Dallas and play at ConDFW, A-KON, Fencon, Board game geek con, where i run the game at the local conventions, with my rule tweaks

I agree with yoper on the types of aircraft, I have a land fighter and a naval fighter.

I came up with the following idea for Naval AA and Land AA,  Naval AA fire can be either screening or focused, it depends on how the attacker chooses to attack. If the attacker targets individual ships, the defender may screen with up to 2 other ships on AA fire (any 1s destroy the aircraft). If the defender chooses to attack with aircraft on the board as a general attack (same as ships) then only focused AA fire may be used - each aircraft is targeted as in the rules one die only per plane.

Land AA fire is either Focused or Shotgun - by the rules, each AA gun is allowed up to 3 shots, this is determined by the defender. If the defender wants to target certain aircraft it is focused fire and the defender rolls one die per aircraft, but on any 1s rolled, the defender gets to choose which aircraft are destroyed. If the defender is willing to let the attacker determine losses he may fire shotgun and roll 3 die per AA gun.   I will say that most of the time the defender rolls the 3 per AA gun and lets the attacker choose, but if air transports with paratroops are in the mix, then the defender usually opts for focused fire.

Although why the defender would wish another round of air to air combat and AA gun fire is beyond me  :)

I will be driving to origins also, so bringing struggle is not a problem.

If Eric is planning on playing we officially could have 3 more players.

So here it is  ;D - we need up to 3 players at Origins to play Struggle for Europe and Asia, we are planning a start time of 9am Thursday.

See y'all there

Ken

Craig

It looks like Thursday would be the best day for me to play struggle, if you are still interested.
Do you think we will have enough players on Thursday?
I will bring struggle if we decide to play on Thursday. We will probly have to start in 41 to finish the game.

If you think we have the table space and can do the game on Thursday, we can post a sign up sheet here for the remaing 4 players.

After Action Reports / Playtesting / Re: PACIFIC PLAYTEST!

In Japan's case only, I don't think the out of supply penalty should affect the forts and infantry on any of the islands.
They fought just as effective using the island resources only.

just a thought

I personally like using the same mold, it causes less confusion about which units are on the board.
